General Advice

Information, Advice and Guidance

  • Delivery of high level case work, directly supporting individuals and families
  • Drop-in sessions are maintained and supported to ensure all people have full access
  • Raising awareness of issues, their impact and enabling people to take positive action
  • Building on the guidance given and offering mentoring support to help people embed learning.

Welfare & Benefits Advice

  • Support our clients in making new claims
  • Use of phone to contact housing department, letting agencies, landlords and benefits agencies
  • Liaise with other agencies on your behalf
  • Provide assistance with completing housing applications and benefit forms.
  • HMRC & Customs; Tax Credit, CHD Benefit, NI Number etc…..
  • Universal Credit

Sign Posting and Referral Services

In order to signpost or refer a client we need to have identified that our centre cannot deal with the client’s case. Often we will be able to help a client with some of their problems but not all of them.

Provision of space for community

  • PARCA is able to provide and support grass root organisations to use our resources for the benefit of local communities. E.g. training, parties, workshops and events

Local Councillor drop in Surgery

  • The councillor’s drop in surgery in wider Peterborough is available upon request. The Park ward Councillor John Shearman run last Wednesday of each month at PARCA Centre from 1pm – 2pm. For more detail contact us.
