The litter picking scheme is a partnership between our organisation, Seetec and Amey. The aim of the service is to cleanse and litter pick the areas that are most affected. We currently have two supervisors and eight volunteers to support the scheme from Monday to Friday. During our street visit we encourage and educate people to use the street bins provided by the council.

Michael Blake, management graduate for Street care on Amey’s Peterborough contract said: “We are delighted to work in partnership with PARCA to provide, not only litter picking equipment, but also training opportunities for the teams involved with the charity.

“The issue of litter in the area has improved thanks to the help given by PARCA and it has had a large impact on the work Amey and Peterborough City Council do. We hope this is the start of the long-lasting partnership to help make a greener and cleaner city”
